Little Bird and Daisies is made with fusible web. Fusible web is a dry glue activated by an iron’s heat and used to glue two pieces of fabric together.

For decades I’ve used a brand of fusible web from Pellon call Wonder Under #805.

Fusing is my favorite method of creating art quilts. It gives you the freedom to make organic shapes easily and to improvise new designs without a pattern.

An unusual tool you may not have in your quilting arsenal is a pinking blade for your rotary cutter. In the class, we use this blade to cut the birdhouse roof and stick fabric. The pinked fabric edge is perfect for embellishment with a Fly Stitch.
