Too many distractions called me away from this piece made with felt on a silk background. But now I’m back and ready to add a festive garden on top of the bridge. Created with French knots, the variegated size 8 Asters colorway gives me a variety of flower colors so I don’t have to change threads. As you know, garden design is all about placement of color.

A few more trees are added to the horizon line using a Fern stitch and a size 12 Lettuce thread. Lettuce repeats the greens found in the bridge, house, and background fabric. It’s a way to tie everything together and a way to make me happy.

Another garden is stitched across the water line, and the trees have taken on some Prinky Phlox berries made with French knots. Now that Bridge House #3 is complete, it is time to find a new project unless, of course, I get distracted again!
