Description: Like a journal or photo album, quilts illustrate the stories of
our lives. In this class, capture the essence of your own story and translate it into a fused art quilt.
From the simple free-cutting of fabric to adapting your personal sketches or photos, your narrative
quilt comes alive. Begin with basic fusing terms and practices then quickly move on to learn the
many processes of converting your design source into fabric shapes. Whether your inspiration is an
idea in your head, a sketch, or digital photo there is a fusing method to make the construction of
your story easy. A computer, digital camera, and digital projector are provided to help you multiply
or enlarge your designs. Tell your own story in cloth.
